COOKIE POLICY

Cookies are small text files that websites visited by a user send to their terminal, where they are stored before being re-sent to the same websites the next time the same user visits them. While browsing, users may also receive cookies sent by different web pages (see Provision of the Italian Data Protection Authority, May 8, 2014, No. 229). In order to properly regulate these devices, it is necessary to distinguish them based on the purposes pursued by those who use them.

1. TECHNICAL COOKIES: Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of "carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide that service" (see Art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Code and Provision No. 229/2014). They may consist of navigation or session cookies, which ensure normal navigation and use of the website (for example, allowing you to make a purchase or authenticate yourself to access restricted areas). The installation of these cookies does not require the prior consent of users.

2. PROFILING COOKIES: Profiling cookies are designed to create user profiles and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed while browsing online. Given their invasive nature, users are required to provide prior consent for their installation, as required by Article 122 of the Code.

3. ANALYTICAL COOKIES: These are used to monitor user use of the website, providing statistical reports that can assist the website editor in optimizing it. One of the most widely used web analytics tools is "Google Analytics," a Google Inc. service that collects navigation statistics. The Italian Data Protection Authority has clarified that these cookies are classified as technical cookies when the IP address is anonymized (even partially) and information sharing with Google is eliminated. Otherwise, these types of cookies are associated with profiling cookies. The company has also partially anonymized the user's IP address and reduced the data that Google can access through Analytics tools.

Each type of cookie can be first-party (i.e., processed and managed directly by the website owner) or third-party (when installed and acquired by different parties). Third-party cookies include so-called social plugins, which are components that enable integration with social media platforms (such as Facebook, X, LinkedIn, etc.) that operate through the website, where these generate cookies. The management of information collected by third parties is governed by their respective policies, to which we encourage you to refer.

You can change the settings you made when you first log in at any time by following the procedures below.
